FundiPay for Contractors
You run four sites, three clients and one bank account. On Friday, three foremen send you three different lists and you try to work out who actually worked. Construction payroll software for contractors fixes that: FundiPay holds every site on one dashboard, so attendance is verified, wages leave as M-Pesa B2C, and the compliance work happens as payroll runs.

One dashboard for every site
Each site gets its own geofence, its own foreman logins and its own muster roll, but they all roll up to you. You can see attendance across the portfolio, approve a single consolidated payroll run, and drill into any site or any worker. No more chasing photographs of a paper book over WhatsApp on Friday afternoon.
What a contractor gets from FundiPay
FundiPay is built to remove the friction between the site gate and the bank account.
- Geofenced digital muster rolls that lock before payroll runs.
- Direct M-Pesa B2C wages to each fundi's own phone.
- A 14-day payroll float against verified wages while certificates clear.
- Automated PAYE, NSSF, SHIF and housing levy calculations.
- Portfolio-wide labour cost reporting per site and per project.
The Friday cash-flow problem, solved
The gap between when wages are due and when a valuation certificate pays out is the single biggest cash-flow headache contractors face. FundiPay's payroll float covers up to 14 days of verified wages, so your crews are paid on time even when the certificate is running late. Repayment is tied to the certificate, not to an arbitrary weekly deadline, which keeps the cost predictable.
Why it pays for itself
The savings are not theoretical. Ghost workers disappear when attendance is geofenced and locked. Cash handling risk and the hours spent reconciling envelopes vanish. Statutory deductions stop being a late scramble and become part of the payroll run. Most contractors recover the cost of the platform from the ghost-worker and cash-loss savings alone, and gain a clean labour-cost record they can show a developer or a funder.
Frequently asked questions
How many sites can one account run?
As many as you operate. Each site has its own geofence, foreman logins and muster roll, but they consolidate into one dashboard and one payroll approval, so managing ten sites is not ten times the work.
Can my foremen use it without training?
Foremen only need to review and lock the day's attendance, which is a short workflow. Onboarding covers the contractor and one foreman per site, and workers are onboarded during the first muster roll.
Does FundiPay replace our accountant?
No. It gives your accountant clean, per-worker payroll figures and the records behind each statutory return. The returns are still filed by your accountant or payroll officer, but without the reconstruction work.
How quickly can we go live?
Onboarding is done remotely and typically takes under a week to the first live payroll run, including setting up geofences, foremen and worker records.
